Japanese Style Daikon

Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs Daikon (Turnips)
  • 2 Cups Dashi
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Mirin
  • 1 Tbsp Sake
Directions: 
  1. Daikon, peeled and cut into 1 1/2 inch long pieces.
  2. Boil all the other ingredients in a pot.
  3. Add daikon into the pot until boiling, then turn to low heat for 20-25 mins, turn off heat.
  4. Serve warm or cold. A stronger taste is expected if refrigerated overnight.
*** You can keep it in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
